Banking Studies 101
First Lesson:
You have nothing in common with Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) or Signature Bank or their big depositors. They are scarcely aware that little people like you exist.
“Only the little people pay taxes” – Leona Helmsley.
Second Lesson:
When you give a bank your money, they take risks with it. Some win, some lose. That’s how risks work. Thus: RISKS. And they make profits if they manage their risks wisely. See risk management.
Third Lesson:
Even if a bank does a terrible and irresponsible job of managing their risks, depositors are insured against losing their money, up to $250K each.
If you and your spouse each have $250K deposited separately in your bank(s), you are insured up to a half-million bucks in each bank. YOUR money is so risk-free that they will give you MORE money just to deposit with them.
Fourth lesson:
Only fools and huge businesses on payday have more than $250-500K deposited in a bank, BECAUSE THEY COULD LOSE IT!
NBC reports: “Biden assures Americans that banks are safe amid recent closures.”
I’m sure relieved when a man who has never had a non-government job and knows NOTHING about banking tells me my money is safe in banks. HIS money is safe in Hunter and Jim’s hands, he means, but banks? Hang on, sucker.
Biden’s donors are going to be safe, only slightly to our surprise, BECAUSE HE’S CHANGING THE RULES TO PROTECT THEM! One law for them, another law for you.
$250K of protection, like for your deposits, doesn’t really mean $250 THOUSAND. No, it means just make up a number, $250 bazillion maybe, and that’s how much protection there will be.
It will all come from your taxes, little person. None from his. Pay your fair share, my ass. Don’t ever inconvenience the elites, little guy, because you will pay for your insolence. Just play along and don't be uppity.
Fun fact:
Between 2018-2020, Janet Yellen made seven million dollars in speaking fees from large banks and investment funds. Do you really think she wants to jeopardize her future by cracking down on her hosts now? Think about that until my next post. I'll be back.
